An Illuminated Evening Out (ok most of the afternoon too…..)

Not my normal gig venue for this post.  A wee treat – Mrs Dontblog took me to Glasgowville to see The Lumineers with Dr and Mrs Wook.  A damned fine evening was had by all.  Didn’t have the Nikons so all photography at the O2 Academy was done drunkenly using an HTC ONE X mobile telephony device.

Support act seemed to go on for fucking hours. (Langhorne Slim) Probably quite good but I wasnt impressed on the night – probably the beer (and the wine, bundaberg and other rums, limoncello, cider etc etc etc).  The Lumineers were excellent.  They played all the hits (Im fairly sure – they did that one, I remember that).   Even bumped into those nice chaps from Kassidy – they appear to have been shorn. Still not a fan of their tunes but lovely, happy smiley chappies all the same and they look much better with  the new do’s.  The music was great, the company and craic was brilliant but my highlight of the trip had to be picking up an envelope dropped by a guy on Sauchiehall Street or thereabouts and returning it to him having ran a block to catch him.  Made his day – envelope contained a cheque for a grand.  Woop !!  Happy chappy indeed – my good deed for the day.

The godawful support act
