Aerials Up are a seven-piece band from Glasgow, who formed in late 2009. So far in their short career they have supported Snow Patrol, The Futureheads, Ash and Paolo Nutini. They’ve played the Royal Albert Hall and featured on a BBC2 concert program with Jo ‘Dave Grohls Stalker’ Whiley. Obviously though, their career highlight will have been playing in the mud and straw at Jocktoberfest up at the Black Isle Brewery. Go on, admit it !

I first came across Aerials Up doing an acoustic session at Belladrum in the press area for Marion and then had an evening of tweeting pre-Jocktoberfest before finally getting to say hello to them properly up at the Black Isle Brewery festival. I had no idea who they were at Bella and missed their actual set (had to ask Marion who they were but really liked what I heard straight off – note to self – find out stuff before doing other stuff at stuff)
Kemy, Debbie, Neil, Murphy, Chris, Cat & Ruth are awfully nice folk making awfully good music – theyre very polite and functioned very well with hangovers on the Saturday at Jfest 🙂 !! Hope to see them up this way again very soon.
There’s a flickr set here containing more photographic evidence of this here beat combo
PLEASE PLEASE please dont nick or arse about with any of the photos on here – theyre all copyrighted to me (houdi, Al Donnelly) Cheers !!
